So, let me start by saying that I have never been a “fan” of James Charles. The first I heard of “Sister” Jame Charles was when he became a Cover Girl. Next, he took my timeline by storm when he ignorantly stated something along the lines of he was afraid of visiting Africa for fear of getting aids… Needless to say, I Immediately stopped tuning in to any and everything James Charles.
After hearing countless horror stories of the variance of quality with the release of the latest Jaclyn Hill palettes and then seeing a few recounts of horrible customer service experiences with Morphe on YouTube, the release of this palette was very low on my radar.
For me, Morphe palettes had never been extremely pigmented. It wasn’t until I had seen a few of my favorite YouTubers swatching and creating looks with this palette that I decided I had to experience the hype for myself. The day this collection launched I immediately ordered 2. I must say, this palette has completely blown me away sparking a creative flow allowing me to “unleash my inner artist” as the inside of the top cover says.
Check out some swatches and a few looks that I created below. Keep in mind that swatches don’t always tell the full story but these are bomb!

For my contour I used no beans. To bronze I used 10% off and code James. For blush I used Mary. Lastly, to highlight my cheek and brow bones I went in with ringlight.
Final thoughts: This palette is everything. The pigment, blend-ability, and versatility is unmatched. I anticipate this palette saving me a lot of room when I travel and in my kit. There are so many options with the vast variety in shades. This has easily become my favorite palette of 2018 (possibly ever)!
Stay tuned for tutorials on these looks as well as a giveaway! I will be gifting one of my followers a James Charles Palette very soon.
Did you grab this palette or do you plan to? Which look is your favorite?
XOXO,
